Case: A mobile energy storage and charging unit for electric port and terminal equipment.
Challenge: Charging demand for terminal tractors and service vehicles changes with vessel calls, yard activity and vehicle routes, so fixed chargers cannot cover every operating zone efficiently.
Solution: Use the Door Energy MCP-E as a movable 420kWh energy buffer near current demand. Charging can be scheduled by departure time, state of charge and operational role.
Key Features:
Impact: Support phased charging-infrastructure construction and provide supplemental capacity during temporary peaks or fixed-station outages.
